in Gaming'Minecraft: Story Mode'will become a Netflix'interactive story'(updated)The upcoming'Complete stranger Things'game from Telltale will not be on Netflix, though.Shares Shutterstock Netflix has apparently signed a handle Telltale Games to bring streamlined versions of its popular titles to the streaming service. The business validated to TechRadar that the very first of these will be Minecraft: Story Mode, which will appear on the platform, followed eventually by a brand-new Telltale game based on the Stranger Things series.These might not be'games'as we think of them. Sources told TechRadar that Minecraft: Story Mode will appear in a five-part episodic form and Netflix confirmed to them that the game will appear "in an adjusted kind."It might appear on the platform as early as later this year, and will be playable using any remote control with directional and select buttons-- ideally, users won't require anymore hardware to enjoy. While that fits Telltale's titles which are mainly dialogue-driven anyway, TechRadar's sources suggested that the few action series might not be included.The setup ought to operate like Amazon's Fire TV service, which has carried Obvious video games like The Strolling Dead, Game of Thrones and Guardians of the Galaxy for several years. When reached, Obvious told Engadget that they do not comment on rumors. We've reached out to Netflix and will include their action when we hear back.Update, 1:40 PM ET: Immediately after this story was published, CNET released a report of its own with information from Netflix. As believed, the Minecraft release will be an "interactive narrative story," similar to the stories the service has included given that last summertime. The site also verified that the Stranger Things video game from Telltale will not be on Netflix at all; rather, it seems like a traditional Telltale release that will hit a range of gaming platforms. Update, 3:45 PM ET: Telltale has validated its new collaboration with Netflix as well as a forthcoming Complete stranger Things game for consoles and
PCs.
